Birthday box to celebrate patients’ birthdays
At Southampton Hospitals Charity, we are always looking for innovative ideas to show our patients that we care about them.
In 2020 we funded a wedding box that could be borrowed by in-patients who wished to get married whilst receiving end-of-life treatment here at University Hospital Southampton.
This got us thinking. What about other celebrations?
We have over 1,200 beds within our hospitals, and we wanted to support staff in celebrating patient’s birthdays. Therefore we are delighted to announce that our birthday box is now available, containing birthday cards, bunting and candles.
Being in hospital over a special occasion is never something that you want to do, but we are proud that we can support our staff to bring some cheer to our patients!
