Priority Appeal
Our Priority Appeal supports the hospital's most pressing needs, helping us respond quickly and make a difference wherever it’s needed most.
We’re here to help your hospital do more for you. At Southampton Hospitals Charity, we work in partnership with University Hospital Southampton to improve care, comfort, and experience for every patient. From funding life-changing equipment and world-leading research to creating spaces that support healing, we go beyond what NHS funding can provide – so that together, we can build a healthier future for our region.
Every year, our appeals help your hospital go further for patients, families, and staff across University Hospital Southampton. By supporting one of our current priorities, you’re funding the tools, spaces, and research that make everyday hospital care better – from new equipment and improved environments to innovations that support recovery and wellbeing.
We help your hospitals go further
Research is at the heart of our mission to improve the health of our community.
We believe a healing environment is just as important as the care itself. That’s why we fund projects that improve the look, feel and function of hospital spaces.
We’re creating more supportive spaces for parents and carers across our hospitals.
Here’s what’s happening

It's really hard to find the words to say thank you. I've been on the other side of the fence all my life helping patients. To actually experience staff first-hand going above and beyond, it is something else!
Mother and NHS Consultant
I’ve been battling Hodgkin’s Lymphomas for four years. When my cancer became more complicated, I was referred to University Hospital Southampton for specialist care. I have so much respect and praise for the NHS. Thank you.
