Southampton Hospitals Charity launches My Thank You

Showing your appreciation to UHS workers just got easier. As the dedicated charity of University Hospital Southampton (UHS), we are excited to announce that patients and visitors can express their thanks in a new way to the staff who have cared for them during their stay.

From today, you can share a personal message with UHS staff. You can thank everyone from nurses, ward teams, receptionists, porters to volunteers. My Thank You is all about thanking the staff to make them feel valued and appreciated for the difference they make.

Words matter 

No two days are the same in a hospital – some are fast-paced, others emotionally demanding. Whether it’s a simple “thank you” or recognition of a moment that truly made a difference to you, your words help our staff feel seen and supported.

“When you work in healthcare, you often move from one task to the next without stopping,” said Mel Looker, Ward Leader on Basset Ward. “Hearing that you made a difference to someone really stays with you. My Thank You gives people a simple way to share that, and I think staff across the hospital will really value it.”

Every message makes a difference. Whether it’s your first time at UHS or you’ve been cared for here before, My Thank You is your chance to say thank you.
