Festive Day success
We were delighted to host our annual Festive Day celebrations again in 2023. With cake sales, festive jumpers, and beautifully decorated wards and departments, our hospital was transformed into a truly magical place!

Ward decorating competition
Winners: D5 respiratory, runners up E1 ocean ward and Brooke ward.
Congratulations to ward D5 for winning our ward decorating competition. They had fully decorated every part of the ward and went all out creating a sweet/candy theme reception desk. Well done for making your area truly magical for your patients.
Our thanks to Gail Byrne, Director of Nursing, for presenting the hamper and chocolates to the wards, donated by Legacy South, and thank you to everyone who entered to competition.
Congratulations to EI ocean ward which is our children’s cardiac ward, for being one of our two runners up.
Again, you could see the hard work which had gone into the decorations for the bed spaces and waiting area, with some decorations being created by our patients.
Our second set of runners up was Brooke ward which cares for our elderly patients with trauma or orthopaedic needs.
A massive well done to Angie their housekeeper who decorated the ward to make it look festive for their patients. They all loved the hard work that was put in.
