Virtual charity update event

On 4 May, we held our latest virtual event for our donors to give them exclusive access to hear the latest news and developments within Southampton Hospitals Charity.

All video segments are broken down below into separate videos from our speakers:

  • Jeneen Thomsen (Head of Charitable Giving): Welcome to the Charity and our latest annual report.
How we supported our staff and patients throughout the coronavirus pandemic, plus other fundraising successes such as Christmas and the recent ABP Southampton Marathon event.
  • Beth Hall (Head of Operations): What we have funded as a Charity.
This has included items such as a neonatal ambulance, refurbishment of Meller House (colleague Julie Taylor speaks in-depth about this), and the refurbishment of the gym for our Medicine for Older People Department (colleague Rachel McCafferty speaks in-depth about this)
  • Beth Hall (Head of Operations): Future projects.
This includes funding LED sky panels for theatres and neurological intensive care, our ongoing general intensive care unit appeal, and an exclusive early preview of our next appeal to refurbish one of the Southampton Children’s Hospital wards.
  • Jeneen Thomsen (Head of Charitable Giving): Fundraising plans.
How you can get involved with the Charity including our up-and-coming football legends vs NHS heroes or Walk for Broadlands events, joining our lottery, and much more.

Welcome to the Charity and review of 2021-22
