Art Workshops provided by the GAP at University Hospital Southampton

At Southampton Hospitals Charity, our art workshops offer patients and their families a chance to step away from the stresses of hospital life and engage in something uplifting. Whether you’re spending time in a waiting room or recovering on the ward, our workshops create a space for creativity, allowing you to express yourself, relax, and connect with others.

These sessions are designed for everyone – whether you’re a young patient discovering painting for the first time or an older adult trying your hand at clay work. The workshops aren’t just about making art; they’re about creating moments of enjoyment and distraction, offering relief from the medical routine.

Our art programmes have a real impact, helping to reduce anxiety and promote a sense of calm. Our workshops are run by friendly and experienced artists who are passionate about helping you explore your creativity. If you’d like to take part, send us an email to find out about the next session or complete our contact form. We would love to have you join us and see how a little creativity can make a big difference to your time in hospital.
