Annual VW Santa run 2019

Today saw our best ever VW Santa run to drop off presents to patients in Southampton Children’s Hospital.

Rachel Funnell, Piam Brown Ward charity coordinator, commented:

What a fantastic morning. The sun shone on our seventh Santa run and the decorated vans and cars were astonishing!
A huge thanks to everyone involved and the gifts we’ve received will bring a massive smile to so many children under the care of the Piam Brown children’s cancer ward and the other Southampton Children’s Hospital wards through Southampton Hospital Charity.”
Phil Ashby commented:
We had 95 vehicles this year take part in the annual VW Santa run. The day started with a lovely reception at Beaulieu Motor Museum, then we had a fantastic run through the forest to the hospital.
A record-breaking 14 cages of gifts were collected this year, and every year it gets better and better! Beaulieu are incredible as they donated loads of gifts, and prizes for the best dressed vehicle, best dressed family and best dressed dog. It is absolutely brilliant every year.”
