Our gardens this spring
Spring is officially here!
The days are getting longers and the flowers are starting to bloom. Avid gardeners are preparing their gardens for the rest of the year, and the hospital is no different.
We’ve already created two new garden spaces outside the Emergency Department, and Princess Anne Hospital with paved spaces and seats.
The bulbs are beginning to push through the ground. Our thanks to NHS Charities Together for funding these two garden spaces.
By the summer we hope to have two more garden areas completed outside the Feast restaurant and Occupational Health, using money from our coronavirus response appeal.
Work will also begin on a new rooftop garden at Princess Anne Hospital this May to give our staff a place to rest, contemplate and recharge. This is one of three projects funded by the auction of the Banksy artwork, The Game Changer, focussing on staff wellbeing.
