Festive day success

We had a fun fuelled day spreading Christmas magic during our annual Festive Day on Friday 10 December.

Judith Stephens, Community and Events Manager, said:

“Christmas is looking very different again this year, but our staff rose to the occasion to bring some cheer to the hospital, as they do every year!

Clinical staff wore festive stockings, socks and earrings, while non-clinical staff dressed up with festive jumpers, Christmas crackers and turkey costumes!

It was incredible to see all of the photos that were sent in.

Festive fun was held not just in the hospital, but all across Hampshire. Paultons Park held a staff bake sale, Paris Smith LLP joined in with festive jumpers, as did various other local companies and schools.

Friday turned out to be a cold but sunny day, so a special thanks go to our festive carollers Ben Poore and Ryan Saunders, plus Bluey and his organ Aroha Evie for providing entertainment around the large Christmas tree outside our main entrance.

We had many a comment from staff and patients waiting to get into the hospital that it brought a smile to their faces, and helped to remind them of the festive period.
