20 walkers raised over £6,000 at this year’s Walk the Test Way

Walking for a cause close to their hearts 

Among our team was a group from No 18 Chambers, a specialist family and civil set of barristers, who walked 12 miles together and raised over £1,000. 

“It was a wonderful day, and we’re thrilled to have raised over £1000 for Southampton Hospitals Charity. As our local hospital and one of the best paediatric treatment centres in the UK, it is a cause deeply close to our hearts.” – Tracey Hennessey, Head of Chambers, No 18 Chambers 

We were also pleased to welcome four walkers from FitMix Romsey, who enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the route as they completed their 5-mile walk from Mottisfont to Romsey. 

What our colleagues said  

We were delighted to have Sophia, Clair, Suzannah, Sonia and Alicia from our own team join the walkers in support of our hospital. 

For Sophia, it was her first time taking part in Walk the Test Way: 

“This was my first time taking part in Walk the Test Way, and I decided to tackle the 12-mile route alongside other members of Southampton Hospitals Charity. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet people from other local charities and enjoy a beautiful route through the Hampshire countryside.”  

Alicia added:  

“The scenery was beautiful and the walk itself was very well co-ordinated. Although it was a long and, at times, tiring walk, I loved every moment and felt a real sense of achievement for reaching the end and raising money for such a wonderful cause.”
